FAQ
-
What are you hours of operation?
Child care is available between the hours of 7:30a.m. and 5:30p.m. If care is needed outside of these hours, prior arrangements must be made a minimum of 24 hours in advance.
-
Do you provide after school care?
School-age care is offered on a space available basis when transportation can be provided. School bus transportation is available from Grant Elementary School. After school care tuition is $45/week.
-
What holidays are you closed for?
The following paid holidays will be observed by the child care: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (Thursday and Friday), and Christmas Day.
-
What is your termination policy?
Not every child care program is an appropriate fit for every child. It is for this reason that each child is enrolled on a two week probationary basis. During this probationary period, if it is determined that this program is not a good fit for your child, either parents or provider can terminate the agreement/contract.
-
What is your policy on child illness?
The health and well-being of all of the children is of utmost importance. If your child exhibits any of the following conditions, you will be asked to keep your child at home until he or she has been symptom free for 24 hours or a doctor’s note is provided:
Diarrhea
Eye discharge
Fever of 100.0 degrees or higher
Impetigo
Rash
Severe, persistent cough
Stools containing blood or mucous
Persistent vomiting
Yellowish skin or eyes

Do you have any safe sleep practices?
I am required to complete training in safe sleep practices/SIDS prior to licensing and will maintain this training every 3 years. All children under the age of 1 will be placed on their backs to sleep with their heads uncovered. If your child requires alternative sleeping arrangements, a signed statement to that effect from the health care provider must be on file. All pack-n-plays will be equipped with firm mattresses and tight fitting sheets. No pillows, soft bedding, or stuffed animals will be allowed in the cribs during naptime, nor will any covering be used as a method of darkening the crib/playpen. All children will be checked on periodically during naptime to ensure comfort and lack of distress.
